10 Great Green Things May 2008

Top 10 Coolest Things I've Done or Found Recently:

1. Flock is the best browser I've ever used and has more features.  It  rocks!  It is the coolest thing about my week so far.  Click here to download it free or go to:

http://browser.flock.com/eco/treehugger/

2. Huddler.com - Awesome new site that has product reviews for green products.  This site is frickin' fabulous!

3. Digg.com  - Best source on the web for news.

4. Goodsearch.com  - Socially responsible search engine.  You choose the charity, they give per search donations to that charity.  VERY nice!!  I chose I Love A Clean San Diego (ILACSD).

5. Bought juicer, excellent juice book (The Juice and Zest Book - Anna Selby, Recipes for Healing & Vitality), and blender in anticipation of joining local organic CSA program.

6. Joined Be Wise Ranch CSA program and got second box of excellent produce last friday.

7. This pnn.com site is pretty cool and enn.com is an equally cool site with really good environmental news.  It's the Environmental News Network.

8.
Up with polyculture!! Down with monoculture!!  Please check out this article I sent on polyculture recently if you haven't read it already. Click here to see article.  We need to rapidly evolve from a primarily monoculture (one crop per field) based species to one that chiefly employs polyculture (planting many different crops in the same field) if we are to establish food security for humanity.

---Update:  Taking P+L+O+W to the next (high-tech) level with Vertical Farms.  Click here to read about it.

9. The Merry Hempster has a nice lip balm that is certified organic.  Although ONE Group's certified organic lip balm is also great, I hear, it is 4 times the quantity so this is more appropriate as a stocking stuffer, I think. About the same price per gram.

10. Very disturbing French documentary on Monsanto.  Click here to view.
